Tony at Lab-Link has been impossible to reach--some big order has paralyzed the lab, and my print is on hold. I've lost my momentum, and it takes all the energy I can muster right now to make my daily call to check on the print's progress.
Bill Krohn left a message today--he spoke to Kent Jones and found out that the Rotterdam people haven't seen my film yet. So I'm still in the running. Trying to pique Rotterdam's interest, Bill told Kent to tell Rotterdam that Bill plans to write about HONEYMOON in the February issue of Cahiers du Cinema, the French film journal that was the Bible of the cineastes of my generation. I think my chances of getting into Rotterdam are pretty slim, but a Cahiers article about my movie would definitely make my month.
