Spent some time today talking to film labs--now that Guffanti has closed down, I have to find someone new to make the HONEYMOON prints. My conversations didn't turn up anything too promising. Prices seem to be flexible in this part of the world, but I'm not much of a negotiator, and there are only a few well-known labs around. In the evening, I took Monday's footage in to Technicolor to develop and print, even though the price wasn't right--I'm in a hurry to finish off this rough cut.
The Berlin film festival turned us down this week. I wasn't really expecting anything from them, not having had any luck heretofore with the superfestivals. Next up is South by Southwest--they promise to let us know by Feb. 1.
