Robin made a bunch of tapes of the film for me today, one of which I will send off to the Berlin Film Festival. Meanwhile, I'll hear from Sundance and Rotterdam in the next ten days or not at all. In some ways, my life will be easier if I don't get in to the January festivals--it will be hell to complete a print in December while I'm working a full-time job. But, of course, I'll be sad to be passed over.
Some of the tapes Robin made were regular old VHS tapes, and I got to see the film on my TV for the first time tonight. Cool! Between the low-resolution digitized images and the inferior VHS format, I could barely see what was happening. But it was a kick anyway.
