The Apple II+ in discussion is, if the serial number isn't lying, something like the 112th to roll off the production line. Although Alexis and I had countless hours of fun playing Space Invaders -- loaded off an audio cassette player, no less! -- we all must leave things behind. It now lives in the basement of my parents' house in Connecticut, collecting dust. It still works for half an hour at a time... after that the heat of operation warps the motherboard and causes the chips to pop out. Then you've got to open it up and push the chips back in. Good thing my Mac doesn't do that, huh?
