Subaru Maintenance, 2006
The things I’ve done to the subaru in 2006
- 30 Dec 2006 (4256)
Replaced Sportrack 6-pair ski rack with a Subaru branded yakima unit of the same capacity. Still will have some clearance issues, but at least with Yakima I have a chance of resolving them. The SportRack goes to Corey, it should work better with his Thule rack (which has as much clearance as my round-bar Yakima and more than the Subaru crossbars). - 29 Nov 2006 (3269)
After attempting to use the all season tires that Subaru ships on snow, I ordered Michelin X-Ice snow tires from The tire rack. Bridgestone RE92 tires suck. Installed by Heritage Wheel and Tire. - 27 Oct 2006 (2880)
First oil change. Serviced by Ambassador Auto. - 2 Oct 2006 (1250)
Ripped out the iTrip, installed Alpine CDA-9865 w/ the iPod interface. Despite the sub being disconnected, sound is fuller, especially bass. - 3 Sep 2006 (715)
Wired in hidden power plug to power my iTrip, so I don’t need to look at it sitting in plain sight anymore. - 31 Aug 2006 (624)
Replaced tail light. - 24 Aug 2006 (56)
Tail light broken. Greg was backing up and his truck threw a rock. Glad it only hit plastic, or I would have been doing body work.
