Most of the work in 2008 has to do with the long-awaited repaint. The car is going back to green, but New Racing Green rather than Tundra.

  • 18 May 2008 (82779):
    Cleaned up and repainted heater core.
  • 17 May 2008 (82779):
    Bob the painter has picked up my car to be repainted. I should get it back before the summer ends.
  • 15 May 2008 (82779):
    Removed dashboard, re-installed fuel pump fuse (oops).
  • 2008 (82779):
    Removed passenger seat and remaining interior components. Disconnected and removed fuses on all wiring that is not required to make engine run. Removed headlights, taillights, rubber seals, door locks, boot lock. Disconnected and re-alligned gas filler tube to be free of car body. Painted test patch of “New Racing Green” (MG BLVC25).
  • 13 April 2008 (82769):
    Started MG teardown for paint preparation. Removed all glass, side trim, mirrors, carpeting, etc. Basically, anything that could come off without impacting the ability for the car to safely get home came off.
