25 Random Things
This is a repost-originally posted to Facebook. But I’d rather it not be there, so I’m putting it here for safe keeping. It’s a bit dated at this point (some of the points are no longer accurate).
So I got tagged with the “25 random things”.
The rules are: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, its because I want to know more about you.
However, I always like to be a rebel without a cause, so I’m not going to play by the rules. If you read this and are inspired to post your own 25 random things about yourself, feel free. If not, that’s ok too.
- I am a pessimist by nature. This is ok though, I am often pleasantly surprised when things turn out better than I expect.
- I am an atheist. I am trying really hard to not let this define me.
- I have a utilikilt; when the weather isn’t too cold, I wear it too.
- I once watched WSU football on a 19” TV at 6 AM in a Honolulu apartment
- I worry a lot about my little brother and his family. I’m also very proud of him.
- I am very impatient when I have to wait for machines. I’d like to think I’m more patient with people, but probably not.
- I’ve walked on 2 week old lava, flown in and over Waialeale, but haven’t yet seen Haleakala at sunrise.
- Rain depresses me.
- Despite that, more than any other country, I want to see Scotland.
- When traveling, I often enjoy the trip as much as I do the destination
- I don’t see a lot of movies, not because I don’t want to watch, but because I don’t want to watch alone. Sitting in a dark room with random strangers and not talking is better when you do it with a friend.
- I used to listen to both kinds of music. Country and Western. Now, I don’t care for most of it.
- I took a year of Japanese at Grays Harbor College. All I can remember now is ‘watashiwa skoshi nihongoo benkyoshimasu.’ or other similarly uselesss things. I’d try to relearn, but my best books were stolen my freshman year at WSU.
- I need my friends more than they know.
- I am very sensitive about getting older and don’t like to admit it’s actually happening
- Except for my grandfather’s funeral, I haven’t missed a WSU home football game in 3 years.
- I drink Gin and Whisky (Scotch). Tequila and I agreed to avoid each other long ago.
- I enjoy flying
- In my life, I’ve only lived in two towns
- Since I got my passport, I’ve not been out of the country. Not even Canada.
- I never played any sports in High School, but was a part of a knowledge bowl team that “almost made state”. I’m not even sure if that means anything.
- I am not in my HS senior yearbook.
- I get lost every time I go to Portland Oregon
- I have personally asked the director of the Art Museum/WSU to get rid of the ugly blue heart (or at least hide it).
- Every time I drive west, at the top of the Cascade passes, I always roll down the windows and breath in deeply “to smell the trees”. Rain, shine, wind, or snow… I can’t help myself.
