Reconstruction, Day 2
The morning of Day 2 arrived late. I was awake at 6:30, but there was far too little light to encourage me to get my ass in gear. I started working on the car around 9, after a shower and some generic cheerios (never again, I’ll buy the real stuff from now on).
So far, today can be marked for as much that hasn’t gotten done as what has.
- The heater core resisted my efforts to smash it into place
- The windscreen resisted all efforts to put it in place too.
- The sealant for the windscreen seals is gummed up
- The reverse light screws are still too short to install the lights
On the other hand, all was not lost this morning.
I have installed the door locks on both doors, they work too. The door opener mechanism on the outside door skin is installed and working. The door seals are in place. The passenger window and wing window are installed.
But now, I stop, take a shower, and prepare for some Cougar Football.
