It seems that my coworkers are confused as to when and how I like to have messages delivered.

It’s all quite simple really, I hate being stuck in one task. So if I’m stuck on a land line, it’s bad. If I’m stuck on a mobile (where I can keep moving), not bad. Email is good, I can skim and it doesn’t require as much concentration to get all of the message.
