The Sounders released their schedule for the 2010 season yesterday. I was happy to see that the home games never conflict with WSU Football, so like last year I can enjoy the beautiful game and not miss any throwball I care about.

But looking deeper, I discovered that some of the games are going to be a challenge.

On May 1, the Sounders play the Crew in Seattle. Since a very good friend is now living in Columbus, this is something of a rivalry game for me; I hate to miss it.

Unfortunately, on May 2, I’m running Bloomsday. The game is at 7:00 PM, which is just a little too late to safely catch the last flight of the day to Spokane. My next option is to take the 7:00 AM flight on May 2, giving me one scant hour to get to to the race and stretch.

I think I’m going to have to miss the game. What a good life I have if this is one of my biggest concerns of the day.
