Driving back to Pullman from Moscow today, I found myself on a gravel road with the iPhone set to random play.

And it nearly made me cry.

I’m no fan of rap, but today, among the choices that the iPhone gave me was the KEXP Song of the Day from Feb 4. The song is simple enough, a eulogy for the greatest voice in the history of Seattle. I thought I had put you to rest Dave, but hearing your voice again, those magic words “My Oh My!”.. it all came back.

It’s going to be a tough season without you Dave.
