For the MG anyway, March 12th is the beginning of the new year. While I installed the battery and fired her up for the first time since November on the 11th, this is the day that she got to actually move.

So, with that, the fixes begin.

  • 12-13 March, 2011 (85417)
    During routine waking up from winter checks, noted that one of the fuel lines was weeping fuel. Replaced all rubber fuel hoses (two hoses under the car, three in the engine bay), replaced fuel filter, removed fuel pressure regulator (unneeded). I also purchased some fish tank activated charcoal and renewed the carbon canister, using a canister donated from a 1978 model. Re-wired the fuel pump (again).
