On 9/28/97, Alex explained what she wanted to be when she grew up:

HIYA,

A ballerina. A farmer. A necklace maker. Owner of a McDonald's. I think there is one more thing, work in a store in a big mall and do a job at the checkout counter. A veterinarian.

Ooooh, you are gonna be VERY busy! Can I have one of your necklaces when you make them? I'd also like some McNuggets please.

I hoped you liked the things I would like to be when I grow up. You might have liked these things that I would like to be when i grow up, and you might not like these things that I want to be when I grown up. I just wish that you like the things that I would like to be when I grow up.

That's easy for you to say. ;-) (That's a picture of me winking at ya!)

And yes, I LOVED reading about the things you want to be when you grow. Even though I loved the things that you want to be when you grow up that doesn't mean that I didn't love the things that you want to be when you grow up when I was still growing up thinking about what I wanna be. ;-) (That's me winking at ya again!)

What would you like to be when you grow up?? I don't know what you would like to be when you grow up , but I certainly know what I would like to be when I grow up.

Well I would certainly like to be a Firetruck! I would get to be painted in all bright red colors and make lotsa noise and go really really fast! I would have fun being a Firetruck. Maybe I'll pretend to be one for Halloween.

What do you want to be for Halloween?

tell me some of the movies you have at home please. I would really like to know. Please send in some mail and let me know. Please.

Ooooh, I have LOTS of movies! Lets see... I have Aladdin, 101 Dalmations, 2 Sing-along tapes, Winnie the Pooh, Batman, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, Felix the Cat, Betty Boop, Bugs Bunny, Pocahontas, and a WHOLE buncha other stuff too!

Do you have any fish at home, well I do. And two cats, too. Do you have any cats ??

Nope. I don't have any fish. 'Cuz, see, we have two cats and one of them really really likes to chase stuff. Especially bugs but I'm sure she'd like chasing fishies too. So if we got any fishies they'd probably wind up being in my cat's belly. And I don't wanna keep my fishies in my cat's belly so I just let the pet store hold them for me.

tell me three of the things that you have at home please.

A rocking horse named Shmoo; a big globe that I can spin around and around and see all the different places on the Earth with; and OOOH LOOK there's a little spider crawling on my computer right now!

Any necklaces made out of beads that you made yourself? I do, lots of them and bracelets too. DO you have bracelets made out of beads too?

I have a little girl. And guess what?... Her name is Alexandra too! Well ya know what else?... She made me my very own necklace with beads and rubber bands and string and glue! I like it very muchly. :):):) (That's me smiling three times. I must be happy, don't you think?)

What do you use to put all your beads together?

Do you have a doll house at home, well I do and I really like it.

No, but my little girl has a special bed that looks just like a doll house. It's even got a roof that keeps her warm and dry when she's asleep and a little door for her pet seal to go in and sleep. Don't worry it's not a real seal. It's a fluffy stuffed one.

Do you have two TVs at home, well I do. One in my mommy's office and one upstairs in my mommy's bedroom, but you cant watch any videos on the one upstairs, that is kinda silly, isn't it?

Yes, I think that's very silly. You should tell mommy to fix that. Your mommy's very smart. I'm sure she could make it so it's not so silly anymore. ;-)
