Circle of Friends (Pat O'Connor)

Predictable, melodramatic, and ultimately rather tiresome.  The only 
thing the film has going for it is newcomer Minnie Driver, and while 
she's very appealing, she ain't nearly enough.  I can't even remember why 
I went to see this, actually.  I must have been very bored that night.
