Strike one: no narrative.  Strike two: what narrative there is 
reminiscent of the far, far superior HEAVENLY CREATURES.  Strike three: 
bad amateur acting (I'm notoriously unforgiving in this respect...see 
also CLERKS.  There are so many good actors out there starving for work 
that there's no excuse for using bland, forgettable performers in crucial 
roles.  Please note that the key adjective is "bad," not "amateur"--you 
won't hear me griping about LOS OLVIDADOS or METROPOLITAN).  Strike four 
and final: no narrative [sic].  Just endless "arty" camerawork and banal 
conversation.  Count me out.
