Persuasion (Roger Michell)

First-rate adaptation of the Jane Austen novel, featuring terrific 
performances from just about everyone, but especially from Amanda Root 
(in her first film role), Ciaran Hinds, and Sophie Thompson (sister of 
Emma).  If you like Austen at all, you will enjoy this film.
