The Cow (Karel Kachyna)

Truth be told, I don't remember much about this film, several months 
later, but I do remember that I liked it.  I remember that it's a very 
simple story--almost a fable--and that it's well-acted and skillfully 
directed.  I remember enjoying the textures of objects, the changing 
weather, and the rather deliberate pace.  Small pleasures, but after 
enduring films like BATMAN FOREVER this summer, I find them very precious 
in retrospect.
