Fixing Reply-to field in Microsoft products Don Wiss, 5/5/98 1. At the main program screen select "Mail" from the top menu bar. 2. Choose "Options.." from the pull-down menu. (It is the selection at the bottom of this menu.) 3. A dialog box will pop up on your screen. This dialog box has several tabs along the top edge. Choose the tab labelled "Server." 4. Here you will see text boxes with your email account information. Near the bottom of the dialog box is a button labelled "Advanced Settings..." Click on this button. 5. Another dialog box labelled "Mail Server Advanced Settings" will now appear. Near the bottom of this box is a text entry box for "Reply To:" Put your email address in this text box. 6. Click on the "OK" button to close the dialog box. 7. This will take you back to the "Options" dialog box. Click on the Apply button at the bottom in order to save these settings. 8. Now click on the "OK" button to close this dialog box. ============ You get a very similar wizard with Outlook Express. I've never personally bothered with Reply To addresses, since I assumed they were only required if you wanted replies sent to an address different to the FROM line. In OE you can have various "accounts". If you go to the Tools menu, Accounts option, they are listed. (You will have All, News, E-mail, Directory Services tabs). The E-mail tab should be selected. Choose the account name from the list, and click Properties. You then receive a dialog with 4 entry fields: Name: Organization: E-mail address: Reply address: Whatever you put in the Organization field doesn't seem to be used (!!!).
