As you approach the 145th Street Bridge (in background, on right), another recently renovated waterfront park appears. Alas, one has to clamber over another railing if you're traveling from the south. The "normal" way in is via the pedestrian bridge across from the armory at the northern tip of 5th Avenue (near East 142nd Street).
