This highway ramp at the south end of the Harlem River Drive was built without a sidewalk, preventing non-motorized access to two miles of the Harlem River waterfront. This 30 year-old mistake may soon be rectified - it looks like someone has marked off spots for installing a fence to protect pedestrians and bicyclists who want to visit down below. Fortunately, narrowing the roadway won't cause any traffic jams - the two lanes here merge into one before the ramp joins the highway.
