Greetings,
Here's the information we found on "Azelina" and its variants as an English name.
We found a number of later forms of the same name used by men and women. Most of them are recorded in Latin--the "us," "i," and "a" endings are Latin grammatical endings. If you used the name, you could choose to register a Latinized form or to use the spoken English form, which would be "Azelin."
We found one later form recorded in English--"Ascelyn" from 1273. It is possible that "z" for "sc" is a form which dropped out of usage before the "y" began to be used. Thus, we can recommend an earlier form "Azelin/Azelina" or a later form "Ascelin/Ascelyn/Ascelina."
We hope this has been helpful. If you have further questions, please contact us.
