The majority of the counsellors here are very nice- especially mine! They were very eager to get me started and definitely made the effort to find me work. For a while I was working pretty much day to day, whenever there was an opening. This led me to law firms. I'm not fond of law firms- the people there are usually very cold and impersonal. There were a few days when I was asked to come into the agency on call (since I commute into the city)if nothing had been assigned the day before, and was sent home with no jobs. The ladies in the agency were genuinely concerned and wanted to find a way to get me steady work, so they sent me to an investment banking firm to be trained in their presentation version of Word. Once I had the training in that, I've been working there ever since. I was given two long-term assignments (the one I'm at now is indefinite), and they work out perfectly with my schedule. I'm an actress, and of course I need days off for auditions. All I have to do is call the agency, tell them what day I can't come in, and ask them to find a replacement for me! The job is still mine the next day. So it's really great. I was recommended to the agnecy by a friend, so perhaps that is why I've been treated so well.
