Comments:
I scored perfect or near perfect on all three Qwiz tests. They were
literally fawning over me. "You've got what it takes, and we want to
send you out!" They even had me come back later that afternoon so I
could meet the rest of the counselors and made it seem like they were
all going to work right away to get me on the job, then told me if I
wanted to work tommorrow I should wait unti 5pm and they'd give me
something that came in. I said "Are you sure?" She said "Yes - I
wouldn't make you stay unless I was pretty positive."
At 5:30 the nutty receptionist yells to them "Can he go home?".....I missed three perfectly good trains home because I waited. Unlike other agencies, they were somewhat fixated on the appearance thing - they didn't like my hair. I thought they were going to look past that and see that I'd scored 100% on the Powerpoint test, and even though they did tell me that they wanted me to stay in close touch, after three calls or so -- "nothing today honey - but call me back in an hour or two" I got a call from Madison Avenue Temps (right across the street) a ratty little place but with great folks and good jobs. I've been working for them since, making good money in advertising (what I asked for).
I may try AT Temps if I'm ever out of work - maybe it's just slow for the Holidays, but I feel like they bullshitted me. They shouldn't build you up like that if they don't have any work.
