Comments:
My experience with ASA was comperable to that of "Single White Female".
I registered with ASA as a temp administrative assistant and was assigned to a counselor by the name of Arnie. Arnie must be extremely lonley. He called my voice mail, my roommate and even the person at my emergency number LITERALLY (and I swear this on my mothers life) TEN times in two days.
Arnie was working out of home one day and left me a voicemail message with the details for an interview at some company at Penn Plaza. I returned the call and left him a voicemail message confirming that I'd be there. I guess his assitant never gave him the message because he left me two more frantic messages. I called him back and left him another voicemail confirming that I'd be there. He either didn't get that message or he just ignorned it. He called my roomate and asked where I was and started rudely pumping him for information that he wasn't about to share with this stranger over the phone. He called my roomate back a half hour later and asked where if I'd taken another job. My roomate unplugged the phone and via his cellphone left me a distraught voicemail message that some psycho named Arnie was stalking me pretending to be from a temp agency. Arnie also called the person at my "in case of emergency" number and left a message. I was irked as hell and left another message for Arnie and for one of his co-workers that I'd be at the interview in two days.
The next day Arnie called my voicemail again asking why he hadn't heard from me yet! He called my emergency number again as well and left a paniced message.
Needless to say, I decided not to ge to the interview. There's no way I'm going to have this man for a boss with a co-worker who wipes her butt with his phone messages.
Believe it or not, Arnie called yet again the next day and left another paniced freak-out message on my voicemail asking if I was going to the interview.
I called ASA and tried to get his supervisor on the phone, but no one was any help. I said to hell with it and made an entertaining cassette tape of all of the messages he left. I play it at parties and on road trips. Everyone thinks it a hoot!
P.S. Arnie called two more times the next week asking me why I didn't go to the interview and would I still be interested in going!
