Comments:
I interviewed with Choice two weeks ago and am on my second job with
them.
Choice makes a great first impression. The office is not crammed with people interviewing, so you don't feel like you're being treated like cattle. The receptionist is very friendly, which is unusual for the front dest staff at a temp agency. (I should know. I temped as a receptionist at a temp agency for three weeks and it made me hate humanity.)
I had to wait a while before I was seen by my assigned counselor, Angela, since she was swamped with calls from clients requesting temps. (Good sign!) She actually came out to the waiting area a couple of times to let me know she'd be with me soon. Temps know that this is a rarity.
Angela and the other counselors are very accesable, personable and professional and they placed me in a job three days after my interview.
The agency gives it's new temps an impressive packet of useful information that includes a large city bus and subway map.
One thing to be aware of is that you have to actually go to the office to submit your timesheet. No faxing it in. The best way to deal with this is to have the client sign your timesheet on Friday by noon, then drop it in the mail ASAP so it arives at the agency on Monday.
