Comments:
I went to work for ASA by accident in January of 1998. Applied for a
permenant job they were doing the hiring for, they took me over on the
temp side to work so I could stay busy while the client
deliberated. They put me straight to work.
A year later, i'm still here. The only bad thing about ASA is their braindead payroll department which works most of the time, but when they forget to pay you, well, just try and get it fixed. They usually say its your fault. One time I got so angry, I pretty much screamed at the payroll supervisor. The agency staff hates the payroll dept as much as the temps do, and will always side with you. There's bulletproof glass over the payroll counter, which is rather telling, if you ask me. Since the unfortunate episode in which I almost went postal on payroll, they have never ever gotten anything wrong with my paycheck. Coincidence?
They are very flexible, and have someone on 24/7, so if it's 7:30am on a Sunday morning and you're going to be late for your 8am shift, you can call up and they'll get the message to the client for you. That's service.
I recommend ASA to anyone who wants to get paid well but can only work part time and needs flexibility in scheduling.
