Comments:
The nastiest, most stuck up idiots on the planet. I do DTP work
consistently now for a long time, and when I went in there to be
tested, I was subjected to a great deal of attitude and was humiliated
by the bitchy secretary who was in charge of the testing.
They purport to be this high-flying provider of graphics people, but the computer they use to test on was a piece of garbage, and the test they gave was completely idiotic and near impossible to complete within the timeframe given.
I was so frustrated I just told them to go $@(% themselves, and walked out. They said they were sorry I was so "angry," but that they didn't feel confident about my skills to the point that I could "represent them to a client." They told me to practice for "three or four months" and come back and try again. Never mind that I had come straight there from work where I do endless PowerPoint jobs, work I'm supposedly not fit to do.
The ultimate revenge, however, was getting a great freelance gig in the art studio at one of their major clients (an ad agency) and getting paid more than CTI would ever pay me. I'm still on board there, and one of these days I'll call CTI up and ask them who's the idiot now. So much for their "exclusive" contract with the company.
