Comments:
If you want to be frustrated both in the process of getting a job,
and on assignment I suggest ASA.
As soon as you send in your resume they'll call you with promises of any job you want, and beg you to bring in as many friends as possible. At first I thought it was because they were swamped with work, but I quickly realized that their turnover rate is so high, and they haven't any placement skills whatsoever, that rather than make an effort to place some one on a suitable job, they simply put some one else in your place. It appears to be run on quantity rather than quality.
I was sent to CIBC Oppenheimer to literally do nothing for 8 hours/day. I voiced my displeasure in the most diplomatic way possible, and rather than being placed elsewhere was given a negative review. Also, while I was on assignment for them, they called me on a daily basis offering me positions, finally, when an assignment had ended and I called requesting a new assignment they offered me something for more than $5 less pay then the previous assignment; which was already $2 less than what I had stated was my minimum. Upon refusing they never called me back. It appears that self respect and worth are not qualities this agency looks for in their temps.
Ah yes, Helen, Ernie, Alissa . . . one more incompetent than the next. Go meet them out of morbid curiousity, but then go sign elsewhere, because dealing with these people is an insult to anyone's intelligence.

Note that all reviews are individual contributions and do not represent the opinion of the site administrator. They have not been independently verified, so there is nothing to stop someone from posting a pack of lies. Some agencies with great reviews may be really bad, and some agencies with bad reviews may be really great. As with everything online, be careful and don't believe everything you read. I take no responsibility for what comes up when you google yourself.
Feel free to email me with questions or comments. Please do NOT email me your resume. I am not an employer, and I cannot get you a job. If you send me your resume anyway, I will report it to your internet provider. My email address is grvsmth@panix.com.
