I responded to an ad for Legal Proofreading. When I got to the office
the front desk people gave me a test and then I had to wait a really,
really long time. I finally demanded to see someone. When I did, she
treated me like I was applying for a job as a Dish Washer! Rude,
demeaning, arrogant. I stopped the "interview" short since I figured
with attitude like that I wouldn't want to work for them, and demanded
my paperwork back since it contained a lot of personal info, they
refused to give the application back. I did get my resume back and
called later to tell them that if they didn't rip up my application I
would report them!
If you are a qualified legal proofreader or just like being treated with respect avoid them like the plague!
