Comments:
I've been using the Supporting Cast on and off for about 5 years. My counselor Susan has been great. I temp when I'm between jobs and recently when I went back to school to get my Masters. Most of the jobs aren't very demanding. I really don't do much except answer a couple phone calls and surf the net. This is fine with me! Sometimes, you get a job in a small office and they want to work you to death;-) to get their money's worth. For the most part, I think it's an easy way to make a little extra cash and get a paycheck every week.
I find that if you go into the Agency with a cheery attitude, neat appearance and decent skills, you'll get work. And, if their clients like you, they will request you the next time they need a temp and you will score more brownie points and get more work. It's also a great way to go on interviews while working.
Going in on standby is a disheartening experience wherever you go, but this agency treats you humanely--buys you breakfast + free tokens. They have been busy lately so I haven't had the need to go in on standby. If you do go on standby though, get there early. I think the early birds gets the worm! Happy Temping!
