Comments: I relocated from Boston to New York in July, 1995. A close friend of mine reccomended that I meet with Allison Mademoiselle. I went in immediately, filled out the necessary paperwork and took the computer tests. I waited about 20 minutes and was offered my first assignment that very same day. It was a four week assignment at Random House paying $13/hr. After the job ended I was immediately placed at BBDO for another five weeks.

Mademoiselle was excellent with finding me long-term assignments. They kept me working all summer and into the fall- the longest stretch that I ever went without work was about five days. In November(after finishing a month-long assignment at an investment banking firm) I was offered a position back at Random House. I was told it was temp-to-perm with a strong possibility of going permanent.

I have been at Random House for two months now and am content. It looks like the position will go permanent in the near future. I highly reccomend Mademoiselle- they are extremely busy and are always getting in new assignments. They are also respectful and willing to take you off a job immediately if it doesn't feel right. I had one bad experience at an architectural firm where I lasted two days. They didn't even ask for an explanation they just pulled me off and found me something else the next day. They even talked about severing their relations with that particular company because previous temps had also complained.
