Comments:
This was the most misleading agency I had dealt with. I responded to a position for a Mutual Fund Accountant paying $25 hr. Rita, one of the counselors called me, she said I would be perfect for that position, so I should come in and register. When I did, it wasn't at all what I expected. Rita told me that this position was filled a couple days before with someone who knew the clients in house software. Even though I scored in the high 90's on excel, all Rita had was a position working in foreign exchange at chase paying $17 hr. I told her my min. was $22, this is what I got at my previous assignment thru another agency, and since they don't provide group rate insurance, I think temps should get a decent rate. Also, I never met a bunch of unprofessional counselors before, this was supposed to be an accounting agency. When rita brought me into her office, she said she had something great, walked out then returned 15 minutes later and offered the lousy chase job. I declined, but after that she never called me for anything. They have these appealing temp to perm and perm jobs on their website, but after going to this agency I am sure most of them were bs. To accountants who are temping: if you want to deal with a professional agency, and one that engages in common courtesy try accountemps or accountpros.
