Comments:
Having recently graduated from college (magna cum laude), I went to that agency in hopes to get a job in publishing. The person I spoke with assured me that I have excellent qualifications and that she'll get me a job in no time. A week passed, and she called me to tell me that there's this job that I'd be good for, and all she needed was my permission to fax them my resume. Another week passed, and there was no news from her, so I called her and asked her what was going on, and she told me that that job didn't exactly turn out as she hoped it would and that even though I'm still on top of her list, there's really nothing at the moment that she can offer me and that she's sorry she can't find me a job.
Now, obviously the whole thing was just a load of crap. She never had any job to begin with, and was just trying to snatch yet another client.
What really pisses me off, however, is this: isn't that enough that the potential employers give you crap, that these so-called employment agencies have to feed you exact same lines...
