Comments:
From my experience, and from what I read on the previous post about this agency, I would not accept an assignment from them. Although the staff was professional, the general atmosphere of the office was much more fast paced and pressured than any other agency I'd been to. I was given a 'spelling test' with the application, an easy tast, but is that necessary? I graduated college, if they hadn't noticed on the resume. The Word and Typing tests were standard, and there was this test with 50 questions supposed to be answered in 12 minutes, with math problems and comparisons of anecdotes.
I was asked to go in and out of offices and to wait outside at least ten times, seeing someone in the temp department and a couple of people in the temp to perm department. One time I was asked to follow the temp girl into an office, where I walked over to another woman, I guessed to be introduced, and then asked to stand across the room as she asked me what I wanted to do. I told her, unsure if my voice was too loud or too low in the noisy office. I spoke for maybe five seconds before she asked me to wait outside. After that I saw 2 temp to perm people with different positions, none that sounded interesting to me.
Most important, they were offering me $8 an hour. My last temp assignment with another agency, RAS, which I highly recommend, was for $12/hr, a salary three other agencies offered to me as well. Overall I was very uncomfortable at this agency, though judging by the large number of people there, the agency probably has a pretty good reputation.
