At a mere 6 U.S. dollars an hour, I slaved for a lil ol' family owned real estate office. This was a temp to perm position, no room for advancement.
My entire paycheck would go directly to my babysitter. That was a long summer.
I phoned my councelor to let her know that I wanted out. She assured me that she's be on the lookout for something better and she'd get back to me but exactly a week later I was told I wasn't needed anymore because the previous employee came back from maternity leave. Oh friggin really!
I never temped again. I'd rather collect cans than work for Essex.
