Comments:
I'm reviewing them now, although my experience with Forrest Edwars was in 2000, before Sept. 11, and when the job market was much better. I just stumbled upon this site at work and figured I'd throw in my two cents.
They had no trouble getting me work, offering positions immediately. My staffing agent seemed very interested, and did a good job of understanding what I wanted. However, they do a very poor job of actually placing you where you want. They do all this upfront research on you so that they can tell you about a job that's perfect for you, but doesn't actually exist.
My first job was with a prominent book publisher, I loved the job, although it lasted only a few weeks. This was the only one that actually was what it was described as. I knew upfront that I would just be filing, copying, etc...and that's what I did. The people however in the office were tremendous and it was quite a bit of fun.
Job #2, was described to me as temporary assistnat to the VP of marketing while the woman currently holding this role was out on maternity leave. Which is fine except I was told by my agent that I would be working on marketing projects. All I did all day was sit in an office and help payroll. I didn't mind it though because I did have my own office. A very nice office at that.
Job #3 was described as a Marketing position, working as support for a client services team. This job was also assisting payroll. Two marketing jobs, and all I ever did was work with payroll. I have no interest in payroll, and really didn't want these types of jobs. I would have preferred to have been told up front what the jobs entailed, I may have taken them anyway, but at least I would have had a choice.
P.S. While working at job #2 I saw the invoice from Forrest Edwards in the mail room lying out (I promise I didn't open up any envelopes to peak), they were billing $32 per hour, I was paid $12. That should be criminal.

Note that all reviews are individual contributions and do not represent the opinion of the site administrator. They have not been independently verified, so there is nothing to stop someone from posting a pack of lies. Some agencies with great reviews may be really bad, and some agencies with bad reviews may be really great. As with everything online, be careful and don't believe everything you read.
