Comments:
I applied to this agency for help in finding a permanent spot. I was looking for a beginning/mid-level trademark paralegal position. I filled out the application and was sent on an interview, however, the person at this agency (one of the three names in the NYTimes)refused to believe my salary and demanded to see a pay slip. I was only making in the low 40's. She TOLD me I was lying (which I was not). Since then, I had a friend who went there (against my instructions not to), and not only did they not get him a job, they cost him a job. A job which suited him became available while he was away on vacation. Without asking his permission, she doctored up his resume to make it seem like there was no dreaded "gap" between jobs, and sent it to the potential employer. It just so happened that he knew people at this firm, and they knew he had a gap between jobs, but also realized his potential and were wanting to speak with him. When they saw that his resume "fixed" the gap, they refused to see him. Career Blazers is a very unscrupulous, horrible place. At another firm of mine, I learned that they are in serious financial trouble. Not surprising, considering their complete lack of ethics.
