NOTE: My comments posted here are based on 3 weeks experience with this company; there will be more at a later date.
Spherion has found a niche in the temporary market by moving into exclusive arrangements with various companies. This can be an anvantage or disadvantage for you; it depends. It's probably too soon to comment on my my own particular experience, but I found that my contact at Spherion/New York Life has been extreemly nice and helpful -- she earned my respect from the beginning when I came in for a interview. Having been kicked around in the temp world, this is a rarity. However, I cannot say the same for the other reps there; one of them (her replacement over the holidays) was just a total bitch. As far as assignments go, I'm waiting to get into their marketing area. I'll have more in a couple of months.
