Comments:
I was very disappointed with Kelly. The training was great but they
never called me with the jobs or locations I asked for unless I
hounded them, and even then the information was
inaccurate.
My first assignment was for two weeks but the
employer-client told me he'd told Kelly it was open-ended. When he
asked to see a copy of my contract, I told him I didn't have one. He
asked for one from Kelly and they said it was against their policy to
let anyone, including the temp, have a copy of their contract. They
also tried to get me another assignment *while* I was on the first
one, which was very odd.
The second assignment was supposed
to be long-term and ended after 6 weeks, despite my good
reviews.
Because of the time lag between assignments, I
picked up unemployment in between. The main office inexplicably sent
them a letter saying I had voluntarily left their employ, causing my
unemployment benefits to terminate. When I called to ask them to
retract the letter, they said it was impossible, even though they
continued to call me with inappropriate assignments. Fortunately,
unemployment believed my story and reinstated my benefits - right
after I found a permanent job on my own in the newspaper.
