Comments:
One of their New York office reps, Sukhreet, sent me to interview for a permanent job in New Jersey. L-O-N-G story short, the requirements their client gave them were not what were explained to me at the interview. Since then, contacting the Jersey office regarding their advertisements has been mostly unsuccessful (they never advise me of any openings before running them in the newspaper). After repeated attempts, the woman who handles classifieds, Kerry (not sure of spelling) complained that I didn't leave my full name or number with the receptionist, which wasn't true. She was uppity, confrontational, and uninterested. It took two weeks to finally speak with the rep who signed me, Beth, who said she didn't have time to return the calls of every person who left a message. This is not good customer service. I've wanted to write a letter to management, but Essex doesn't have a website, and there are no listings in any of the research books (Dun & Bradstreet, et al) I've consulted. Should anyone have that information, please pass it along with your review; I'll continue to monitor this site for new entries.
