Editor's note: the accuracy of this review is disputed. I have
received an email from someone who claims that she is Ashia Drag, that
she works for CGR / 7, and that she did not write the review.
CGR / 7, run by Adrian Plotch and Lawton Taylor, seems like a
scam-pulling front. Mr. Taylor found my graphic arts resume on
Monster.com and proceeded to bombard me with emails loaded with
hyperbolic claims of never-ending jobs available at pharmaceutical
advertising agencies. Although drug ad agencies are pretty
recession-proof, no one else in town at the more established head
hunters had similar leads. Usually, when a job is open, everyone will
know about it.
Lawton Taylor's job postings at monster.com are infinite and numerous
enough to open a dozen companies, but he somehow no one ever gets
placed. He must be making a good commission with no
assistants.
Our interaction involved his bragging about "URGENT, ACTIVE and
IMMEDIATE openings for which he wanted me to fill out paperwork right
away, without disclosing any information about his offerings, where I
would be working that day (first shift, second shift, or third shift:
he had them all).
His time sheet was built in Word, not even in excel with macros that
add hours. It looked pathetically basic and unbranded. I decided to
postpone paperwork until I met him in his office. He urged me to
complete the paperwork before admitting that he could never see me,
and repeatedly emailed me desperate messages in which he implored me
to return to him my social security number along with faxes of my
driver license.
This sounds like an identity-theft stunt if you ask me. Nothing added
up to anything but craft. And a year later, I am still reading his
same rambling job descriptions for very executive positions for which
qualified individuals must certainly have some major liquidity that
any grifter would like to get a hold of. Why aren't his ads geared
towards working class individuals? Maybe they haven't enough cash to
snatch. Watch your back.

Note that all reviews are individual contributions and do not represent the opinion of the site administrator. They have not been independently verified, so there is nothing to stop someone from posting a pack of lies. Some agencies with great reviews may be really bad, and some agencies with bad reviews may be really great. As with everything online, be careful and don't believe everything you read.
