Yup. It's Monday all right.

Mood: Agitated.
Music: Sympathy for the Devil, Rolling Stones.
Game: World of Warcraft, Planetside, Call of Duty, Forza, Battlefield 2 Demo.
Book: Fearful Warriors, Ralph K. White
Muffin: None.
Punchline: "The laborers swept my power supply away."

I overslept. This was because, for some reason, I couldn't sleep last night...and finally fell asleep at around 3:30am.

I rushed through the shower and applications of various medications. (I'll get to that in a moment.)

Got to work at 9:30am...later than I like. Waiting for me were two computer problems...quick. Then another remote computer problem that I couldn't fix...and it wasn't really my problem. Then I found out that one of our technicians lost his power supply for his laptop...by letting it get swept away by a laborer on a construction site. I guess that'll teach him to put it in the gangbox for the weekend, hm?

Then, a project manager, who is very well known for ordering panels/material late, called me and asked for an ETA on his panels, requesting them by Thursday, in spite of the fact that I got drawings and such last Friday morning. Normally, we ask for 2 weeks to get stuff built...and when you ask for a quicker turnaround, it puts people through hassle, and it costs more, as we usually have to build these things on overtime. I snapped at him in regards to the ETA, and my boss snapped at me for snapping at him. My boss was right, of course. I shouldn't have snapped. But I hate when someone puts me under pressure because they can't plan. Lack of preproduction on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. And if this were the first time he's done this, I'd be a lot more calm about it...but it's EVERY project he does this. I just don't get it.

Now, about those medications. First, I spent about $70 on medicine yesterday. I went to the doctor for a physical and blood tests and such. He gave me two prescriptions. One for my feet, basically to get rid of the blisters and such I keep getting...spending all day in boots isn't great for feet. The other is for a mark I have on the back of my hand, which I got at that day in the park a few weeks ago. It looks kind of like a burn...except it isn't. It doesn't itch, and it doesn't hurt at all. So he gave me a prescription for a steroid cream for it.

After my shower, I need to put a bit of the steroid cream on the back of my hand, then I need to put the other stuff on my feet before putting on nice clean socks. Makes my feet feel a bit greasy, but whatever.

I have another appointment with the doctor the Tuesday after tomorrow to get the results of the blood test. I don't expect anything weird or odd. My cholesterol is probably a bit high, my blood pressure is probably a bit high, and I'll need to lose some weight. Of course, I could be completely wrong...which is why you get blood tests done in the first place.

The nice lady took more blood from me than I would have thought was normal...I hope she wasn't drinking it or anything. It was three and a half vials of the stuff. It certainly LOOKED like a lot...well...for outside my body, anyway.

Anyway, I hope my day gets better...because this morning has been a complete stressbuilder. I don't know why I let this stuff get to me...I really don't.

We're getting old. Remember when stuff used to just "work"?

In the words of Bono, "Don't let the bastards grind you down!"
