Mood: Not bad.
Music: Re-ripping my collection...Rush, Big Audio Dynamite II.
Game: I can't say.
Book: Need to find something tomorrow.
Watching: Firefly, again.
Weather: Cool and clear.
A few weeks ago, I had a major project going on at work that occasioned me to stay overnight...basically worked about 40 hours straight. Truthfully, I'm not really set up for that stuff any more. Face it, I'm getting old. But it all worked out, which is good.
I've been beta-testing three games. They're all MMOs, and they're all pretty interesting.
One, I'm consulting on along with a team of people, playtesting and offering suggestions and comments on the build so far. It's interesting having running dialogues with developers as they build...and see your suggestions in the game.
Another, I'm helping write a guide for a company that specializes in such things. I've chosen a class, and now I'm trying to become expert in playing the class so that I can write a guide for it, both from a levelling standpoint, but also from a fun standpoint. Things that I think are fun to do.
The last, I'm just playing because it seemed interesting. Frankly, I don't have time to put into it, but it looks like it might be fun for a short while. It's different, I'll say that.
As far as the rest, I've been pretty good. I'm going to Detroit in a few weeks to see my new niece and my nephew, who will be three while I'm out there.
And I miss being able to go to a hockey game, stop by Hop Kee on the way home...but other than that? I really like it out here.
And in a month, it'll be a year since I've moved to Seattle.
I think I'm finally really kinda settling in. I have a routine, I'm starting to make friends...and I have a job.
So overall, things are pretty good!
As you might have gathered, I'm not really in a writing mood...but I can't stand to see the blog just sit there. Perhaps I ought to commit to writing a few sentences every day or so, regardless, rather than just letting it sit for weeks.
Let's give that a shot.
