In addition to the cabins, there are individual and group camp sites.
Catfish Lake is great for swimming and boating (the beavers like it too). There is no roped-off swimming area; you can swim the entire length of the lake. AMC has canoes and kayaks you can use.
There are also many hiking trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail (AT) that has great ridge views. The AT also passes a fire tower that gives spectacular views.
Mohican is near Worthington State Forest and the Delaware River.
Driving directions: From NYC, take Interstate 80 West to exit 12 in New Jersey. Turn right onto New Jersey Route 521 North towards Blairstown. When you get to Blairstown, turn left onto New Jersey Route 94 South and, after half a mile, turn right on Mohican Road. Go 3.5 miles and turn left on Gaisler Road. Drive another half mile and turn right on Camp Road. You'll pass a trailhead for the AT and the main house on the way to the parking areas.
Alternative driving directions: From the Delaware Water Gap, take Interstate 80 East to exit 4 in New Jersey. Follow the signs to New Jersey Route 94 North. After 8 miles, you'll pass an A&P. Then make the 2nd left to Mohican Road and follow the directions above.
