Surrounded by some of the highest of the Catskill Mountains, the park lies in a rugged valley. The Woodland Valley Stream goes through the campground.
The park is near Panther, Slide, Cornell and Wittenburg. A trail from the campground leads to Slide.

Driving directions: Take the NY State Thruway to exit 19. Make your first right at the traffic circle to NY Route 28 West. Drive 25 miles till you see signs for Phoenicia. Turn right following signs to Phoenicia and Woodland Valley. Make the next left on High St. just before the railroad tracks. Drive 5 more miles and the campground will be on your left.
