Production figures are not known to the editor of this table for the W107 and later cars. About 237,000 W107 cars were produced with about 66% sold in the US. "DIN" is the measure of horsepower used in Europe. "SAE" is the measure of horsepower used in the US. SAE is the standard developed by the Society of Automobile Engineers and is about 20% higher than DIN. Of course, the power of the engine is the same, it is the number used to describe that power that changes between DIN and SAE.
