Yet Another Visit to the Red Head's Birthplace
Our strange little detour in
Scranton
So, Eric and I are off to another Lucy festival in
Jamestown, NY. We met after work, in Somerville, and headed to Scranton, where
we had a reservation at a Super 8 Motel. After eating at a Perkins in
Stroudsburg, we headed up to Scranton.
After a two-hour drive, we found
ourselves at the odd confluence of routes 81, 84, and 380. We followed the
Internet-based instructions to the Super 8 to the letter and found ourselves in
a cul-de-sac after making a series of right and left turns around the perimeter
of a graveyard.
We called the hotel and
apparently we were off by just a few miles.
The moral of the story: Do a reality
check when using Internet maps.
