Avenue of the GiantsDriving through the Redwoods provides
tranquilty, contemplation, and some relief from omnipresent road
rage.
En route from Crescent City to Willets, CA, we
took the 31-mile drive through the Redwoods called Avenue of the Giants. It was
one of the nicest drives of my life. No other drives for miles, so no road rage.
The tall trees dapple the sunlight so you feel like you need to drive with your
headlights on.
Needless to say, the mammoth trees are indescribable. The photos speak for themselves. We started the day out at a tourist trap, where we avoided a cable-car ride, but did gawk at thePaul Bunyon and Babe statues. Posted: Fri - August 5, 2005 at 01:48 PM |
