Thank You!

Your Domain Registration Form has been logged for processing, we will notify you via email when we send the form to the InterNIC.

Your Next Steps

Here are the rest of the steps to complete your account setup. In all your correspondance with us, please reference your domain name for our records.
  1. If you haven't setup your maintainance account, call Panix to do so. You can call Monday through Friday between 10a and 6p, 212 741 4400 ext.8901.

  2. Read, and bookmark the Web FAQ.This is where most of your "How-to" questions will be answered. If you have a question that is not answered here, post it to the Panix newsgroup panix.user.html. For information on reading and posting to newsgroups see http://www.panix.com/help/usenet.html. If after reading the FAQ and posting to the newsgroup, you are unable to find an answer to your question, please send mail to: corp-web@panix.com

  3. Upload your files to your maintainance account. You can now start working on your website. In the home directory of your maintainance account, you will find a link to your web directory. The link is called "corp-web". The actual path to your web directory is /htdocs/corp-dirs/(your login). This is the directory in which you will keep your files for your website. You must give read permission to each file you put in this directory in order for it to be viewable on the web. Use the command "chmod a+r [filename]". For more information about permissions see http://www.panix.com/web/faq/chmod.html.

  4. Send us a list of aliases and POP mailbox requests. Your service includes ten email aliases in your domain and five POP mailboxes. Two aliases -- postmaster@yourdomain.com and webmaster@yourdomain.com -- are complimentary, and you should let us know where you'd like them directed (otherwise, mail to these addresses will go to your maintainance account) even if you haven't decided yet what other aliases/POP mailboxes you want setup at this point.

If you are ready with your list, which you may make changes to whenever you like, send it to corp-web@panix.com.

  5. FTP: Let us know if you would like to have FTP setup.

  6. Send Payment to Panix when you receive your invoice. We do our billing via email. Normally invoices are sent to the maintenance account. If you would like the invoices to go to a different or additional address, please let us know. We do not send postal invoices unless specifically requested.

Please send your check or money order to:

    Panix Public Access Networks Corp
    Attn: Corporate Web Dept.
    15 West 18th Street, 5th Floor
    New York, NY 10011
Please put your domain name or your Customer Number on the check.

If you have any questions regarding your invoice, or service, please call us Monday through Friday, between 10a and 6p at (212)-741-4400 x901, or send mail to corp-web@panix.com.
