0. Remit payment of setup fees. Before we can order your ISDN line from the telco you must send us payment for the Panix setup fee and the telco setup fee.

   Please put your domain name or your Customer Number on the check.

1. Sign your contract. You should have received a contract from us. Please sign it and return it to us as soon as possible. If you have not received your contract or if you have any questions about it, please contact us at corp-ip@panix.com

2. Installation Notification. As soon as we have an installation date from the telco we will notify you. Usually the install date is about 4-6 weeks from the time we order your line.

3. Obtain Your ISDN hardware. You will need an ISDN router, or a computer capable of doing routing equipped with an ISDN modem. Stay away from the 3Com OfficeConnect LAN Modem -- although it has an attractively low price, the TollMizer feawture (also known as data-over-voice) just plain does not work, and the device will wind up costing you a bundle in connect-time charges.

4. Receive your network assignment. If you have requested a network of IP addresses to use with your Dedicated ISDN connection, we will assign them for you. If you have not yet received this information please send mail to corp-ip@panix.com and we will assign your network.

5. Open your complimentary PPP account. As part of your Dedicated ISDN service you receive a complementary Panix PPP account. Please call our offices at 212-741-4400 x8901 to open this account.
